On Wednesday, 30 March2022, the following American Heroes will be honored at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518.
The four (4) Veterans that the Los Angeles County Coroner will transport are:
Stanley Paul Douglas 71 U.S. Army
Wayne Fowler 71 U.S. Air Force
John D. Hankins Jr. 68 U.S. Army
Phillip Johnson 64 U.S. Army
The five (5) Veterans accompanied by the SoCalPGR from the San Bernardino County Coroner are:
Scott Anthony Byrum 62 U.S. Navy
Larry Spencer 79 U.S. Army
Hiram Cecil Jones III 68 U.S. Army
Jeffrey Obryan Chappelow 70 U.S. Navy
Alfred Donald Olthof 71 U.S. Army
The PGR will be there to recognize those veterans brought to Riverside National Cemetery within the past week for direct burial without final honors.
The PGR will be these Veterans' families and stand by while the Patriot Guard Riders render the military honors at Riverside National Cemetery.
May the souls of these Veterans rest in peace beneath the green carpet of grass in a Nation they helped to keep free.
They are not alone. We are their family.
"If we cannot do him honor while he's here to hear the praise,
Then at least let's give him homage at the ending of his days,
Perhaps just a simple headline in a paper that would say,
Our Country is in mourning, for a soldier died today."
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring these Military Veterans.
Would you please observe all previously designated COVID-19 Rules?

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to participate in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, and you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or wear casual attire if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
