The PGR has been invited by the Family of Vincent Zaragoza Delgado, age 62, to honor their Hero. It is our privilege to do so.

Vincent enlisted in the United States Army in 1976 as an Infantryman.  During his service he was stationed in Baum holder, Germany, Fort Carson, CO, Fort Irwin, CA. Vincent also did special training in the country of Panama, South America. He was awarded the following Awards Medals //Army Service Ribbon// Overseas Service Ribbon// Honorable Discharge// Good conduct// Expert Infantry Badge// Rifle M-16 (Expert)// Hand Grenade (Marksman)//. Vincent was honorably discharged in 1983 as a Sergeant.

Vincent, of Santa Maria, CA, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on March 5, 2022. Vincent was born on June 29, 1959, to parents Elvira Zaragoza and Pedro Delgado. He married Marjorie Torres in 1977 and had two children, Juanita (1980) and Alicia (1986). Vincent and Marjorie divorced in 2004 but stayed friends to the very end.

Vincent worked as a truck driver for over 30 years hauling everything from gravel to heavy equipment. He was one of the best to ever do it. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, camping and fishing, barbecuing, hanging out with his friends at the local watering holes, wearing shirts without sleeves, going to football and baseball games with the kids, and taking road trips with his family; Even driving all the way from California to Texas to watch his Granddaughter's cheer performances.

Vincent is preceded in death by his father Pedro Delgado, siblings Juanita and Peter Delgado, and grandson Julian Vega. He is survived by his mother Elvira Gonzalez, Daughters Juanita (Jesse) Vega and Alicia Delgado, and grandkids Jeselle Vega, Michelle Rodriquez, Vincent Rodriquez, Lucas Rojas, and Juliana Vega, siblings Virgie (Ernie) Maldonado, Frances (Daniel) Gonzalez, Manuel (Linda) Delgado, Hank Delgado, Lyla (Charles) Powell, Luis (Pinky) Gonzalez, and Ralph (Fausto) (Kloudy) Gonzalez, along with countless cousins, nephews, and nieces that will love and miss him always.

NOTE: This mission posting facilitates your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying our hero from the family home to his final resting place. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate. We will meet you there for those who would rather go directly to the cemetery.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, and you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or wear casual attire while driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
