It is an honor that the family of Sergeant II+II Michael Harrington and the Los Angeles Police Department have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in their loved one's funeral services.

Sergeant Harrington was born on 3 DEC 55, in Santa Monica, California. He was appointed to the Department on 26 SEP 77 and served the people of Los Angeles for 33 years, retiring 11 DEC 11. He was last assigned to Valley Traffic Division.

On 13 FEB 22, Mike and his wife Sally were driving home after a wonderful visit with their daughter. Suddenly a car, traveling in the opposite direction swerved into Mike's lane. Mike maneuvered his car to avoid his wife from being hit head-on taking the brunt of the collision. Mike succumbed to his injuries. His wife, Sally, was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Sally fought hard for a few weeks but passed away from her injuries.

Mike is survived by his daughters, Sharon, Amy, Julia, and Colette; son, Joseph; and father, Joseph.
