The family of MSgt Dennis Teeters, 81, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the military honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey.  It will be our honor to do so.

MSgt Teeterss enlisted in the USA in 1967 and was stationed in Korea.  In 1973, he transferred to the USAF working as a loadmaster until he retired in 1994.  He did most of his time at Norton Air Force Base until they closed, moving over to March Air Force Base where he retired in 1994.

After his military retirement, he went on to work for GTE/Verizon for another 30 years.  He volunteered at the Joshua Tree VFW for 10 years.  He was a master at emergency communication where he worked at the Morongo Basin Fire Department, was involved with FEMA, and was also was a gun instructor.  Even though he was retired he always found work around him and always kept busy.

He was a collector of rocks, guns, and knives.  He loved to fish.  He loved to teach his grandchildren how to fish and how to shoot.  He would take his children or grandchildren out to shoot and the first thing he would teach them was safety.  He was always about safety first and foremost in anything he did.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Jeong Ok Teeters, daughter, Jennifer, and son Steven. He is also survived by four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one brother and one sister.
