The family of Richard Schofield has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in their Hero’s final farewell. We are honored to fulfill this request.
Our hero served his country as a member of the US Air Force from 4/69-8/72 achieving the rank of Sgt. E-5 at the time of his honorable discharge. During his time of enlistment Richard served his country in Thailand working as an ordinance loader supporting air strikes in Vietnam. Sadly, while stationed in Thailand he was exposed to Agent Orange which later in life resulted in Parkinson's Disease and led to his passing.
As a civilian, Richard owned and operated an electrical business, Norscho Electric, for many years until he was forced to retire after receiving his Parkinson's diagnosis.
Our hero’s life long hobby was collecting license plates and was well known for that. He belonged to the Automobile License Plate Association and was actually a member of that organizations Hall of Fame. He was also an avid collector of anything and everything Donald Duck.
Our hero is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Linda, his son Brian and stepchildren; Teresa, Robyn, Elizabeth and Bobby. He also leaves behind a brother and 13 grandchildren.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.
