The family of Clayburn White, 87, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the military honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.
Clayburn served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1977 and attained the rank of TSgt upon honorable discharge. He was stationed in several states, had several tours in Guam and Thailand, as well as other temporary travel duties. He served as a hydraulics mechanic on B-52 and C-30 aircraft. The B-52s would fly over Vietnam and return to base in Guam to be serviced.
For 40+ years, Clayburn served as a yard foreman for Augustine Metals, a scrap metals recycling center. One of his hobbies included scraping air conditioning units and other metals for recycling, along with playing lotto scratchers, and enjoying his grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
Clayburn is survived by his wife, Eleanor White, of 61+ years (four days shy of 62 years). He is also survived by four sons, Bobby, Bruce, David, and Jason; three grandsons; and one great-granddaughter. Clayburn also leaves behind siblings UB, James, and Darlene. He is preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Abigail.

You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
