The family of Joe Daniels has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Joe proudly served in the US Army 101st Airborne. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam and also served on Honor Guard Duty during many Military Services Honoring Veterans. He achieved the rank of Specialist 5.

Joe graduated from Calexico High School in 1965. He enjoyed swimming, baseball, basketball, and football. Joe enjoyed athletics and was very energetic.

According to his wife, Carolina, Joe loved life and was a very caring and noble man. Joe was dedicated to his wife and family. He loved his kids, daughter; Rene Inez, and two sons; Ramon and Roberto.

Joe will be missed by many. He befriended people easily and enjoyed long-term relationships with his family and friends. His wife, Carolina, said, “Joe was a very special and loving person.”

The family is requesting a Flag Line Only at the cemetery.

NOTE: This mission posting facilitates your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be standing a Flag line Only at the cemetery for our hero and his family. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate. We will meet you there at the cemetery.

We encourage those who do not ride to participate in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, where you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
