The family of Nicholas Anton Karoly has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country.   It will be our privilege to do so.

Nicholas served proudly in the US Army from 1950 to 1953, when he was honorably discharged at the rank of Sgt.  Nicholas served time in Korea where he was awarded four bronze stars.  Nicholas saved a platoon of men in combat as they were being fired upon, he loaded them into trucks so they could escape, he also went down in a burning plane and saved others on board when they were able to land.

Our hero went by Nick, in civilian life he was a top automotive salesman for Mercedes for 32 years, and has awards all over the walls. LA Times once wrote an article about him calling him the Top Gun of car sales. He was a great talker, everyone was "Hey buddy".  He was a good man, a loving and loyal man, someone that was generous to a fault always helping others.  He was a member and past president of Lion's Club.  He traveled all over the world, and locally he loved going to Arrowhead up in the mountains.

Nick is survived by wife Neila, step children Monique and Tyler and 5 grandchildren who he adored.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to his final resting place.
