The family of Charles Thomas Whaling, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend and honor him on the occasion of his final military honors and committal. We are honored to attend.

Charles enlisted in the United States Army during the Cold War Era in 1961 and served honorably for three years. At the time of his Honorable Discharge he was a Sp4 (E-4) serving as a tank mechanic in West Germany.  He truly enjoyed his assignment and life in West Germany. He was awarded a Good Conduct Medal and a Sharpshooter Ribbon (M-14).

Our hero was raised in North Hollywood and following his separation from active duty he joined the family business that was run by his twin brother.

Whaling Packaging specialized in all types of freight crating including industrial equipment and military hardware. Outside of work he was an accomplished handyman and woodworker. He loved his home shop that he had erected on a six inch thick slab behind his house. He was able to fix, repair, and create anything the family needed and especially enjoyed woodworking.

Charles was a good Christian and was active in his church. He is predeceased by his wife who passed three years ago.

We will be joined by his local relatives including his twin Brother and his sister, Colleen Morgan.
