The family of Robert (Bob) R. Martinez has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to accompany them on this his final journey.
 
Bob was born in Chino on September 27, 1930 and entered eternal rest on August 27, 2013 peacefully at his home surrounded by his children.

Bob was a lifelong resident of Chino and after attending Chino High School, Bob joined the Army in 1950 serving during the Korean War until 1952. While in the Army he served with the 1st Cavalry, 5th Cavalry Regiment, Charlie Company.  Bob was awarded numerous medals for valor including the Distinguished Service Cross.

Upon his honorable discharge from the Army Bob went to work for Kaiser Steel in Fontana. When Kaiser Steel closed, Bob went to work for the maintenance department with Chino School District. Bob was very active in the Chino community, serving as a Little League coach for Chino National, VFW and American Legion member.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife Jessie. He is survived by his five children, Patricia, JoAnn, Robert IV, Chris, and Julie. Bob also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Bob was a kind, loving and hardworking family man who will be missed by all who knew him.
 
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
