The family of Ronnie Lee Burt, 66, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the military honors as he makes his final journey. We are privileged to honor their request.
Ron served in the United States Army from 10/75-10/78. At the time of his honorable discharge, he was a SPC-4. He had been stationed at Ft. Ord, Wiesbaden, West Germany, and White Sands, New Mexico.
Following his service to America, he worked as a buyer at Sutherland Lumber and Grove Lumber. He later pursued a career as a correctional officer from 2000-2005 and worked at the California Youth Authority. He was active in the sports programs at Eleanor Roosevelt High School and was their football announcer for years 2006-2021. He was also a PGR participant until his health declined and he became unable to ride back in 2011. He loved volunteering at the Day Family Car Museum.
Our hero is survived by his children: Rhonda Skaggs, Angela Corpuz, Jeff Burt, and Lacey Watkins, as well as seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Robert Burt and Shirley Bertolini.

You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
