The family of Edmond 'Ed' Tomlinson have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the service and military honors for their Hero. We would be honored to do so.
Edmond L. Tomlinson enlisted in the U.S. Army in May, 1971 and served only 3 months before he suffered a critical injury to his back while on active duty, that resulted in his being honorably/medically discharged.
He loved the military and always regretted that he was not able to serve longer. He watched many TV shows, movies and documentaries on the subject.
Ed (as he was known by friends and family) made his career primarily in electronics, he was very good at it, he also tinkered at home with electronics all his life. He collected baseball caps. And he also enjoyed watching MMA fighting.
Ed is survived by his mother Katie 90, stepfather Claude 81, and 2 brothers, Tom (wife Carla), and Randy (wife Bonnie).
This will be a flag line only at the cemetery.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.
SPECIAL REQUEST: There will be another mission posted shortly that will be an accompany coming from Escondido to Miramar, after this one. If you are able to remain at the cemetery awaiting the 2nd mission, please do so.
Time table for Thursday, 24 JUL 14: 1045 - Stage at Miramar National Cemetery (EASTSIDE of Admin Bldg), 5795 Nobel Dr., San Diego, CA

Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
