The family of Steve Encinas has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in their hero’s final journey. We are honored to fulfill this request.
Our hero served in the US Army from August of 69 until March of 71. He served in Vietnam as an infantry Radio Telephone Operator (RTO). He was honorably discharged at the rank of SP4 (E-4) and received the following medals: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
Steve enjoyed a 27-year career working for the US Postal Service. He was a big sports fan enjoying Football, Basketball and Baseball. He was a huge Dodger fan.
Family time was most important to him.
Our hero is survived by his wife, Guillermina, daughters Susette and Arlene. He will also be missed by six grandchildren.
This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR are welcome, we will meet our hero and his family at Riverside National Cemetery. Please see the time table below if you would like to participate.

“One Straw at a time”
NOTE: You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, and you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or wear casual attire while driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep the radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
