Robert Cole Sutton, 25, USMC, San Diego - 09 DEC
« on: December 08, 2023, 06:15:27 PM »
The family of Robert Cole Sutton has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Robert joined the USMC Reserve Unit January 15, 2019 – December 2, 2023.  He was a V-22 tilt rotor mechanic then proudly earning his aircrew wings, moved into a V-22 AO.

Loved his Ford Raptor truck and his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was killed riding his Harley by a drunk driver on Dec. 1, 2023.  He loved his family and friends more than anything in the world. He had an amazing smile and shared it constantly. He was a fierce warrior and protector and loved being a Marine and serving his country.

Survived by his mother Elisha Shibuya, father Robert Sutton, step father Masa Shibuya, brother Kai Shibuya, Sister Kalia Shibuya

The family is having a Celebration of Life at Waterbar, 4325 Ocean Blvd, San Diego, CA 92109.  They are requesting the PGR to fold a flag and present it to the family.

NOTE: This mission posting facilitates your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be providing a flag presentation for the family.

NOTE: You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, and you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or wear casual attire while driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep the radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
