The family of Miguel Bayan Ormenita, 89, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Miguel joined the U.S. Navy at a very young age and served for 21 years. Miguel was born on September 29, 1934, in San Antonio, Samar, Philippines to his father, Braulio Ormenita and his mother, Honorata Bayan. He had a passion for cooking and traveling. Miguel was blessed to have lived a life of adventure and loved the sea.
After finally retiring from the Navy and then the Merchant Marines, he settled down in San Diego and lived a quiet and simple life. Miguel was kind and peaceful at heart. He will be missed, and his memory will live in the hearts of his family.
He is survived by his wife, Francisca and his daughters, Virginia, Brenda and Hazel. He had four grandchildren: Jacob, Alexander, Jaden and Isabella; and his son-in-law, Christopher.
