The family of Edwin Arthur Dunn Jr. have requested the presence of the Patriot Guard to honor their loved one's services. It will be our privilege to be there to honor this Hero on his accompaniment to his final resting place.

Edwin was born on Feb 8, 1932. After his graduation from High School, he developed an interest in watches, watch making, and watch repairs. He had a distinct eye for details.

As a teenager he became an apprentice in watch making and clock making with a local jeweler in Maine. This would later lead him to his future MOS in the Air Force.

Edwin joined the Air Force on 11 June 1952 and rose to the rank of Airman First Class.

With his skills for watches and clocks he became a specialist in instrument repairs on aircraft altimeters, and gauges that would go on the blink while in the aircraft's that the Air Force were using at that time.

While in the Air Force Edwin served during the Korean War, earning a good conduct medal, and National Defense Service Medal. Edwin served 15 of those months in England. Edwin received his Honorable Discharge after 4 yrs., on 9 May 1956.

After the Air Force he began working on temperature gauges on aircraft that won him numerous awards.  He was employed at Edwards Air Force base in Lancaster for 4 years.

Edwin met his future wife in church in Lancaster and they became married in 1958. Then they increased their little family by 6 children.

In 1960 Edwin began working for the Aerospace industry testing equipment for all the test planes, H bomb detonators, and lunar landers. He did that until 1970.

He went back to his old standby repairing watches and clocks for the next 15 yrs. opening a shop in Santa Clarita with the help of his wife and children.

Edwin passed on 1 May 2024 he will be greatly missed by all his family and friends that enjoyed his endless jokes and humor.

Edwin is survived by his wife of 66 yrs., Joan / 3 children: Michele, Edwin G. Dunn and Maureen, 10 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren
