CWO Daniel E. Thomas joined the Coast Guard in 1987 up to present day. He had just finished his 27th yr. of being in the Coast Guard, when he met with a tragic accident while out riding his Harley. He loved to ride his motorcycle any chance he could. He was still a kid at heart and loved to be with his family, and friends, and was always up for a good time.
He served at numerous duty stations He was stationed on 6 different Coast Guard cutters, 4 different support groups, and finally ending up being stationed in San Pedro , Calif. His final unit he was assigned to was at the port of Los Angeles/ Long Beach.
During that time Daniel became a Maritime Law Enforcement Specialist (MLES3)
After completing his training he became part of a an elite team to guard and protect our harbors and our way of life.
During Daniel's 27 yrs he had been stationed in Boston MA, Seattle WA, Portland OR, Kodiak AK, Charleston NC, San Diego CA, Long Beach CA.
Daniel leaves behind his wife, Michelle, and one daughter Alexis, and his two sons Ian, and Derek
We will be meeting Jason a very close friend of Daniel's and also a CWO in the Coast Guard active duty. He is also a former PGR brother from Texas and will be riding with us. He will be getting us thru the gate and handling base entry and logistics.

Each motorcycle rider should have registration, proof of insurance. You should also wear hard sole shoes, long pants, full-fingered gloves, a long sleeve outer garment, eye protection, and a DOT helmet. A brightly colored reflective vest is no longer needed but recommended. Have your I.D. ready when you arrive at the gate.You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
