The family of Keith Randall Sheffield have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present at his funeral service and military honors.  It will be our privilege to fulfill their request.

Keith’s service in the USMC spanned 33 years during which time he served in the roles of combat engineer and recruiter and ultimately attained the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant.  He was awarded the Kuwait Liberation Medal and Joint Meritorious Unit Medal.  He devoted many years to the Young Marines program, impacting many young lives in promoting mental, moral and physical development of its young members.

After retiring from active duty, Keith pursued his education and obtained a degree in computer science and technology.  He continued his passion for technology and taught computer software for 19 years.

Keith’s past-time interests were vast from playing pool, chess and checkers, card games, to watching various sports, a game of golf, and outdoor activities such as bike riding, fishing, and barbecuing.  If he wasn’t involved in one of those activities, he could be found involved in a woodworking project, or creating or repairing projects of his own.

Keith is survived by his cherished wife, Aaeugenia, five daughters and two sons, as well as nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

“One straw at a time.”

You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission.  All PGR members are welcome.  We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes.  No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service.  Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit.  Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground.  Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
