The wife and children of William A. Flegenheimer, 80, have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in their hero’s final journey. We are honored to fulfill this request.
Our hero served honorably in the US Army from May 1965 to February 1967 and was discharged at the rank of SPC4 (E-4). Bill served in Vietnam with the 120th Aviation Co. as a UH-1 Huey helicopter Crew Chief and Door Gunner. Among his awards were the National Defense Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Army Air Medal for with the “V” (Valor).
As a civilian, Bill founded and was CEO of Flegenheimer Int’l Inc, a company specializing in customs and importing. He ran this successful company for 46 years until he became ill. The company continues to thrive under the direction of his wife, Lorraine, and one of his sons. During this time, he was involved with and served on boards of several industry associations. Bill and his bride devoted significant personal time and resources to veterans and active-duty military including Homes for Our Troops. Every Thanksgiving they hosted dinner at their home in Fallbrook for Camp Pendleton Marines who were not able to be home with their families. Bill also road with the Patriot Guard Riders until he became ill with cancer.
Our hero is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Lorraine. He also leaves behind sons Rod, Mark, Trevor, and daughter Tracie. He is also survived by his brother, Barry

1015: Await arrival of coach from Berry, Bell and Hall Mortuary (Fallbrook) and proceed to staging lanes.
1100: Shelter for honors and services.

You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
