The family of Gary Jackson has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend Military Honors of their loved one.  It will be our honor to fulfill their request.

Gary joined the Navy on November 17, 1983, and was honorably discharged April 14, 1987.  He rose to the rank of C2/E2. He was awarded the Navy 'E' Ribbon - Sea Service Deployment Ribbon w/1 Star - Meritorious Unit Commendation

After military life, Gary was a hydraulics mechanic. He loved to watch Nascar races & football.

Gary lost his battle with cancer and passed away at the age of 57, just two months after his diagnosis.

He is survived by his parents, John Jackson and Cindy Taylor, 1 brother Trevor Jackson, one sister, Amanda Williams, two daughters Melissa Brown and Ashley Cravey, and five grandsons, Jayson, Leeland, Evan, Jaxon, and Noah.

The family is asking for an escort from the family home to Miramar National Cemetery of Approx. 22 miles.

0840- KSU to the family home, for a Flag Line of Honor as the urn is placed in the PGR trailer.

0900 - KSU to Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Dr. San Diego, Ca. 92123 https://maps.app.goo.gl/nWcM8yMPT1pFEFocA   

0930 - Arrive at Miramar National Cemetery

1000 – Flag Line of Honor for full Military Honors

Note: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero.  You need not be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission.  All PGR members are welcome.  We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.  It may be warm, so do remember to hydrate.
