The family of Wayne Jerome Filut, 91, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Wayne was a fire fighter in the Air Force and served 20 years of active duty service to include serving in England, Japan, Korea and Africa.  Wayne retired from the Air Force after 20 years as a Technical Sergeant.

After Wayne retired from the Air Force, he attended Pepperdine University where he graduated with his Masters degree and pursued a career in teaching. Wayne went on to be a middle school Social Studies teacher and retired after 20 years. He was passionate about many things, including spending time with his family and all the crazy women who were at the center of it. He loved laughing and teasing, and traveling around the states in his 5th wheel. During his life, he avidly enjoyed hiking, reading, fishing, hunting, debating with his loved ones and relaxing.

Wayne was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie, who died in 2010.  He is survived by his sisters, Marlene, Patricia and Valerie; three daughters, Theresa (Chris), Carole (Mike) and Marie (Pete); and 5 grandchildren.
