The Command and FRO (Family Readiness Officer) of a Marine Unit have asked the Patriot Guard Riders to welcome home their brave Marines and Sailors from a recent deployment. These men and women have lived in an environment very different from the one you and I are fortunate to be able to wake up to everyday.  Let's all come out and show them how much we appreciate what they do for us every day!

NOTE:  This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Marine Unit.  For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying these Marines to their unit base camp.  Please see the time table below if you would like to participate.  For those who would rather, go directly to the unit’s base camp, we will meet you there.

Time table for Sunday, 05 OCT 14

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).

This mission involves an aircraft arrival.  Arrival times can change at the last minute so please check this thread for any last minute changes before leaving.  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.

Each motorcycle rider must have registration, and proof of insurance. Also necessary are, hard sole shoes, long pants, full-fingered gloves, a long sleeve outer garment, eye protection, and a DOT helmet.  A brightly colored reflective vest is no longer needed but recommended.  Please have your I.D. ready when you arrive at the gate.

Due to OPSEC (Operational Security) limitations which involve troop movements and on-base activities, exact details of this mission will be explained at the "Mission Briefing" only.
