Remember our Heroes, Riverside, CA - 19 OCT 14
« on: October 14, 2014, 05:54:02 AM »
We have once again been invited by Moms of Military to attend their annual event to 'Remember Our Heroes' where we will do a flag line during their ceremonies to honor those remembered.  This event was originally supposed to happen last month, but was canceled abruptly due to severe rain and flash flooding, it has now been rescheduled.

This is a free event and open to the public and in support of our Military, Veterans, Wounded Warriors, First Responders and our Fallen Heroes.  This year there will be a special presentation of a community banner that will be hung in Riverside County in honor of SPC Spencer Karol, US Army, KIA in Iraq in 2003.  SPC Karol's mother is one of our own long time PGR members, Bridget Madison, who will be in attendance for the presentation.

While the PGR will participate in the beginning of the ceremonies at about 1800 hours, the Moms of Military have invited us to bring our families and enjoy the earlier afternoon activities.   There will be a clown, kids games, Fire, Police and Military Vehicle displays from 1400 to 1600 hours; and entertainment and magic show starting at 1600. Enjoy those activities if you wish prior to our 1715 meeting time.

Please fly your tall flags, if you have them, for this, the organizer would like us to ride in with flags flying.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring these Heroes.
