The family of Eric Mapel has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to join them in paying honors to their American Hero and it will be our honor to do so.
Eric was a Vietnam Era Veteran, serving in The U.S. Army from 1971 to 1974. Eric had attained the rank of Sergeant when he was honorably discharged. After he left the Army he was a mechanic for Joe McPherson auto group where he became a service manager then went to work as service manager at Lifestyle Cycles. In 2005 he joined the team at Fullerton Harley Davidson. Eric was involved in a motorcycle accident on 10/10/14 and passed away on 10/12/14.
Eric leaves behind his mother; his wife, Lori; 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren.
Note: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the family from LA Harley to RNC for honors. Following the service at RNC, the family has invited all members to return to LA Harley if they wish to join in the celebration of life with food drinks and shared memories. Celebration is from 1 - 6pm. Please travel on your own if you wish to attend.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
