Send Off - USMC Unit, Oceanside, CA - 15 SEP 13
« on: September 15, 2013, 03:26:12 AM »
The Command and FRO (Family Readiness Officer) of this Marine Unit have asked the Patriot Guard Riders to provide a Send-Off to one of their units and their brave Marines and Sailors who are deploying.  The least we can do is show these military men and women and their families that we support and appreciate what they sacrifice for us all.

We hear constantly from the commands of these units how much our showing up for these Welcome Homes and Send-Offs adds to the unit morale for their Marines.  Come help us give some small measure of thanks to these warriors who give us so much in return.  Let’s bring our smiles, flags, hugs and support for these men and women as we send them off into harm’s way and pray for their safe return home.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring these Heroes. For those interested, we will be accompanying these Marines approx. 55 miles to their departure location. Please see the time table below if you would like to participate.

Time Table for Sunday 15 SEP 13:

1500 - Stage at Dennys, 487 Harbor Dr, Oceanside, CA 92054.   http://goo.gl/maps/lJG7w

1515 - Mission Briefing.

1530 - KSU to departure location.

1630 - Est KSU for accompaniment of our Marines to their secondary departure location. (Destination disclosed at mission briefing only)

Each motorcycle rider must have registration, and proof of insurance. Also necessary are, hard sole shoes, long pants, full-fingered gloves, a long sleeve outer garment, eye protection, and a DOT helmet.  A brightly colored reflective vest is no longer needed but recommended.  Please have your I.D. ready when you arrive at the gate.
