The Homeport Liaison Office of a Seabee Unit has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present at their arrival back home from an overseas deployment (Okinawa, Japan), where they have been faithfully serving their country and honing their combat construction skills.

It will be our honor to be there with flags waving as they disembark off of their plane and meet with their family, friends and fellow Seabees. Please bring your flags, smiles, waves and hugs for these deserving Seabees.

In order for us to get access onto the base, all participants will need to forward their names to the Ride Captain, Mike Seabeemike Abraham (see contact info below). If your name is not on the list I forward to the base, you will not be allowed to participate. The base is asking for this by Monday 02 Feb 15. Better to submit your name and not show up, than miss out.

We will stage offsite before riding to the base as a group. Do not go directly to the base unless you possess a military ID that will allow you access, however, if you do that wait inside the gate as you will not know where on base we are going.

Note: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring these Seabee Heroes. For those interested, and all are welcome, please refer to the time table below. As this mission involves arriving aircraft, please check the site for updates.

Time Table for Thursday, 05 FEB 15:

1400 – Stage at 4735 Pleasant Valley Road, Camarillo, CA 93012

1415 – Mission briefing

1430 – KSU to Naval Station Ventura County

This mission involves an aircraft arrival. Arrival times can change at the last minute so please check this thread for any last minute changes before leaving.

Due to OPSEC (Operational Security) limitations which involve troop movements and on-base activities, exact details of this mission will be explained at the Mission Briefing only.

Each motorcycle rider should have registration, proof of insurance. You should also wear hard sole shoes, long pants, full-fingered gloves, a long sleeve outer garment, eye protection, and a DOT helmet. A brightly colored reflective vest is no longer needed but recommended.  Have your I.D. ready when you arrive at the gate.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
