The family of Sgt. Paul Boyd, 71, Vietnam Veteran, has invited The Patriot Guard Riders to attend his final services and Military Honors, it will be a privilege to do so.

Paul served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  His years of service was from 1964 - 1967. A lot of his friends and acquaintances were running off to Canada and avoiding the draft. Paul was deployed to Vietnam and fought valiantly while unknowingly being exposed to a chemical known as Agent Orange.

Paul was one of the proudest veterans you would have ever had the opportunity to meet. He always had his veteran cap on and proudly displayed service stickers on all his vehicles including his scooter. He was given an honorable discharge on July 8, 1967 and became a resident of Garden Grove, California.

Paul enjoyed bicycle racing with his kids and loved it so much that he bought a track solely for them to ride on. He also loved car racing, fishing, camping and off road racing.

Paul in his later years discovered that the exposure he had encountered with Agent Orange during his time in Vietnam would ultimately show up in the form of colon, prostrate, lung and brain cancer. Two rounds of Chemo and three rounds of radiation and a triple heart by-pass, he stood tall and fought it with all his might. The effects of his exposure would later take its toll. He passed on December 13,2014.

He will be affectionately missed by all who knew him.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, two sons and a daughter. He also leaves behind his brother, sister in law and 6 grandchildren.
