The Family of Billy Ray Godwin requests the PGR to stand and participate in his Service and accompany them to Billy Ray Godwin final resting place. We are honor to do so.
Billy Ray Godwin served during 1955-1957. Went in at Wichita Kansas as an ADF or ADJ for the years he served, it equivalent to a E-2 in the Navy. No longer uses the other abbreviations. This is what got Billy Ray Godwin his job at Lockheed.
Bill Worked for Lockheed for 35 years as a Flight Test Mechanic. on projects that are now declassified The L-1011 / U2 / SR71 just to name a few. Skunk Works. Bill received his training in the Navy. Bill retired from Lockheed in October of 1996.
Bill had a great love for Motorcycles his passion was in the dirt. Bill could be found on every Sunday riding with his buddies and family out by Bean Canyon. That’s where he got his Nickname Wild Bill. He would say give it more throttle and everything will work itself out.
Billy is survived by his wife of 40 Years Barbara His Step Daughter Julie and His Son in law Jeff and 2 children of a previous Marriage. Dale Godwin and Terri Kennedy (Steve)

For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the chapel services to his final resting place. 0930 hrs – Mission briefing
0945 hrs – Flag Line at the Chapel of the Valley Mortuary and flag line after the service
ETD 1100 hrs – Accompany to Desert Lawn Memorial Park with flag line at gave site: 2200 East Ave S Palmdale
