AS PER OUR NORMAL PROCEDURE ON PATRIOTIC HOLIDAYS THE FOLLOWING EVENTS WERE SUBMITTED BY MEMBERS SHOULD YOU LIKE TO ATTEND ANY OF THEM.  THIS IS THE ONLY LIST THAT WILL BE DISTRIBUTED DATES ARE JULY 4TH UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.

LA VERNE

This year will be the 10th La Verne 4th of July Motorcycle Parade.  We would like to to share an invite with all PGR riders.....

Preceding the La Verne City's 4th of July Parade there is a 4th of July Motorcycle Parade. All on two or three wheels are welcome. The city restricts other vehicles to their parade. There is no charge to participate in the motorcycle parade. Staging is from 7:00-9:00 a.m. at the faculty lot at the south end of Bonita High School. Opening ceremonies start at 9:00. We roll at 9:40-ish, and finish at 10:00. Bring your 3' x 5' and smaller flags.

LOS ALAMITOS

Saturday, July 4, 2015 - 4:00pm - 9:30pm
The 27th Annual 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular is taking place at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos on Friday, July 4. The cities of Los Alamitos, Cypress, Seal Beach, the community of Rossmoor, and the Joint Forces Training Base collaborate to host this annual event to honor the men and women of the military, and to celebrate the country’s birthday.
Lawn chairs and blankets are highly encouraged, as there is no bleacher seating available. Motor homes, alcohol, dogs, BBQs, and fireworks are not permitted at this event.
Parking on the military installation is highly recommended. Everyone over the age of 16 entering the Joint Forces Training Base must present photo identification at the main gate and children must be accompanied by parents/guardian. The cities of Los Alamitos and Cypress will be collecting a $5 parking fee per vehicle to support the event. Parking will be free to those with a military ID.
Gates to the base will open at 4 p.m. via Lexington Dr. entrance off of Katella Ave.  Due to heightened security, please be patient and allow plenty of time to enter the base.
Biking onto the installation is allowed but all riders must wear a helmet.
Schedule for the 26th Annual 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular:
4:00 p.m. - Gates are open and event begins
4:15 p.m. - Live entertainment on the Main
Stage begins
7:45 p.m. - Dignitary speeches
8:00 p.m. - 40th Infantry Band performance
on the Main Stage begins
9:00 p.m. - Fireworks show begins
9:30 p.m. - Event concludes

American Legion Riders Post 853 Borrego Springs have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to join them in the Julian 4th of July parade.

CORONA

The Corona Chapter of the Blue Star Mothers of America Inc., Blue Star Mothers CA30 will be marching in the Corona 4th of July parade for the 4th year in a row. Leading our mothers are Gold Star Mothers in our area. All of their sons died in Iraq.  We also try to procure active duty troops but they are hard to come by. The Parade runs down Main Street from Ontario Avenue to Olive Avenue and begins at 9am. We should be marching by 9:30.

This free annual concert began in 2001 and is the only symphonic concert held in a National Cemetery. The Inland Empire/Riverside Philharmonic Orchestra will perform a program of patriotic and popular classics. The amphitheather only holds about 2700. Last year's attendance was just under 7,000. Most people bring lawn charis or blankets and enjoy the concert under the stars. The program should conclude by 9:30 p.m. with Fireworks
