The family of Air Force Veteran Leo William Liltz has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor their hero for his service and sacrifice to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Leo proudly served with the US Air Force from 1948 to 1953 and re-enlisted from 1957 to 1961 where he earned the rank of Airman Third Class. During 1948/49 he participated in the Berlin Airlift under Operation Vittles with the USAFE.
Following his honorable discharge, Mr. Liltz worked as an Airplane Mechanic for Western Airlines/Delta from 1967 until he retired in 1993. Leo was an avid artist, an American History buff, and enjoyed classic cars.
Leo Liltz is survived by his wife Shirley, siblings Frank, Victor, Shirley, Mary, and Dorothy, children Tracey and Lisa.
