The family of CWO2, USA, (RET) Nathaniel “Nate†Riddick has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he is laid to rest. It will be our honor to attend.
Before retiring from the Army, with nearly 30 yrs served. He then served the public with the Univ. of CA Long Beach police dept as a "Peace Officer" and then on to the City of Carson where he ultimately became/retired as, Commission of Parks & Recs Dept.
CWO2 Riddick, will be honored WED 8/21 beginning with a 1000 Hrs Memorial in Carson Community Center 801 E. Carson St. Carson CA 90745 and then to Riverside National Cemetery at 1345 Hrs for Full Honors. His family, wife Eleanor--also a Vet, son Robert & daughter Eleanor (named after Mom) also Vets--- are requesting "any & all" PGR presence if possible to help in honoring their hero.
CWO2 Riddick, was 92, when he Went Home to Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday AM 8/13. He had resided in Carson since 1967, following his military retirement, he was a musically-gifted, Commander of The U.S. Army Band, had also first served in the Navy, and was a fixture in the greater L.A. area, and was originally appointed to City Legislature & Commision on Aging by the late/former Mayor of Los Angeles, Tom Bradley.
NOTE: Please arrive as quietly as possible. The funeral service starts at 1000 and will be in session.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church to the cemetery. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).
