The family of Owen J. Murphy has requested the PGR to accompany their hero to his final resting place at RNC. It will be our honor to do so.

Lt Col. Owen served in the United States Army from 1963-1977, and in Army Reserve from 1977-1981.
Owen was also a proud member of PGR and frequently attended  Veterans without family services.

He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, RVN Campaign Medal, Bronze Star Medal (1st OLC), Meritorious Unit Commendation, RVN Civil Action Medal, RVN Gallantry Cross w/Palm, Army Commendation Medal.

Lt Col Murphy and his wife Cinthia recently moved into their dream home in Georgetown Texas where they planed to join the Texas PGR and get involved in the community.  One of Lt Col Murphy's favorite pass times was riding his motorcycle with his wife Cinthia. They were married 12 yrs.

Lt Col Murphy was an electronics engineer and earned his MBA at CalState Fullerton.

Lt Col Murphy published two books during his career and was President of Trans Global Consulting.

"Owen was always into something and just couldn't give enough of himself" states his wife Cinthia.

He was born 14 Jul 40  and passed 11 Aug 15 of surgical complication

Lt Col Murphy is survived by his Wife– Cinthia Murphy,  Sons Owen Jay Murphy and Dale Cogliano, Daughters,  Kimberly Kanan, Krista Lawhon, Sara Hartman, Tonya Fallows and  Sondra Pigg. Brother Charles Murphy and Sister Jan Murphy, 10 Grand-children and 6 Great Grand-children

1245 - Estimate arrival at Riverside National Cemetery, Family to staging area 5, PGR to staging area 8

1300 - KSU to assigned shelter for service and full Military Honors.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
