The Ventura County Sheriff Department and the family of Sgt Steve and Linda Arthur have invited the Patriot Guard to stand a flag line for their fallen Hero and his wife. We are honored to do so.
Steve and Linda were caught in a canyon during a flash flood and passed away on the 14th of September 2015 in Zion National Park, Utah. The Patriot Guard in Utah, Nevada and California accompanied the Arthurs to Camarillo from Washington County, Utah. Sgt Arthur was assigned to the Camarillo Police Department as a traffic supervisor and had been with the Ventura County Sheriff's Office for 21 years. One son is also a VCSD Deputy. They are survived by children and grandchildren and a multitude of friends.
This will be a memorial service for the public. Honors will be performed by VCSD Honor Guard. A funeral is planned in the future which will be private. We will stand a flag line either on the street outside the site OR at the entrance to the hall on the church property depending on logistics at the time. Bring your flags and try to carpool if you are in a cage. Parking will be difficult due to limited space available and the projected number of the public attending.
Please try to be on time so we can get our bikes parked and set up quickly.
