The family of Jonah Matthew Lantaya have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this Hero for his service to our country. It will be our privilege to do so.
 
 
Jonah enlisted in the United States Army in 2003 and served on active duty until December, 2015 when he was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant. On November 5, 2009, while stationed at Fort Hood, Sgt. Lantaya was witness to the shooting of several of his fellow soldiers by an armed assailant.
 
 
Jonah was an avid reader and was attend the University of California Santa Barbara at the time of his passing.
 
 
Jonah is survived by his mother and father, one sister and one brother along with an extended family.
 
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

0900 – Mission briefing
 
 
0915 – Form flag line for Hero and family entering church for services
 
 
1100 – Form flag line for Hero and family leaving church service and ready for accompaniment to cemetery
 
 
1115 – KSU to Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 N. H Street, Oxnard, CA 93036
 
 
1145 – Attend Military Honors and burial

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
