My heart is full and I write this to you with tears of gratefulness and thanks to God for the great gift my family received from the beautiful Patriot Guards who so willingly escorted my dad from St. Hilary Catholic Church in Pico Rivera to Rose Hills last Friday April 29th. Please extend our special thanks to the Ride Captain, Mr. Paul Anderson for his sincerity through the most difficult day of my life. What a beautiful, but strong gentle soul J
I also had a Patriot Guard approach me after my dad’s burial telling me he met my dad and I just broke down. He met my dad in March 2011 at my uncle’s funeral with me when my dad’s only brother, Joseph Ralph Sanchez WWII who was MIA and his remains were found by a commoner in Germany through family DNA. The Patriot Guard escorted my Uncle Ralph (as we called him) from LAX when he arrived at 3:30 am to Rose Hills, then to his service the next day. It too, touched my family greatly. This gentlemen then came to my dad at my uncles mass and offered condolences and too thanked my dad for his service. What a gift for this Patriot Guard to escort both my uncle and my father.
My dad was a very proud Navy veteran who also served in WWII but was discharged when our Ralph became MIA. It was Christmas Eve when my grandmother received that telegram and my dad never forgot it. Now they are reunited, praise God!!
I could never thank you and the Patriot Guards enough so I am asking God to. Please extend my thanks to everyone involved and I thank you also for your quick sincere communication.
