At the request of Gregg Walker, Walker Family Funeral Services, the family of James Earl Robertson has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey.
James Earl Robertson, 79, was born in Queen City, TX. James was the eldest of two children born to the union of R.P. and LillieBelle (Chamblee) Robertson. James was but 4 and his sister Frances only 2 when in 1938 both parents died from Typhoid Maleria in Texas. Raised by their grandmother, Julia Ann Chamblee, she brought the children from Texas to California in 1942. They first settled in Santa Barbara and eventually would relocate to South Central Los Angeles.
James graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and would also attend two years of college. James proudly joined the United States Air Force and would serve his Country as an Airman during Korea. He later would devoted himself for nearly 30 years working with the South Central L.A. municipal Sanitation District. He will be dearly missed by his dear partner, Virginia Sparks, children James Robertson Jr. (& wife Debra), Derek Robertson (& wife Keisha), Victor Robertson, Levell Martin, Debra Noble, Cynthia Lynch (& husband Kevin), Andrew and Gregory Sparks, 22 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, his loving sister Frances Blount as well as a host of other family members and friends.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
