The family of Adrian Marine has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in the services of their loved one and honor this American Hero. We are honored to attend.
Adrian was a Corporal in the USMCR enlisting 9 April 1943 and activated 20 May 1943. He became a Demolition Specialist and Rifleman during WWII. He served in Central and Western Pacific areas from 21 Dec 1943 to 11 Mar 1945. Participated in action against the enemy at Saipan, Marianas Islands from 15 Jun 1944 to 9 Jul 1944; at Tinian, Marianas Islands from 24 Jul 1944 to 2 August 1944; Adrian sustained injury to right hand during an explosion, in line of duty (thumb, fore finger and middle finger blown off) on 24 Jan 1945. He was honorably discharged in July 1945.
In civilian life Adrian worked various jobs after his discharge from active duty. Primary work was in construction. Adrian Marine was very active as a volunteer with the VA Hospital System (over 29 years and well over 10,000 total hours), Life Member of the VFW, Member of the San Diego Police Reserve (16 years) Assistant Scout Master and Scout Master, Boy Scouts of America (5 years), San Diego City and County Parks and Recreation and many other organizations (40+ years). He volunteered over 30,000 total hours, over the years and his contributions continue to live on.
Adrian is survived by his wife Julia of 61 1/2 years, sons Anthony, Adrian, and Aage (Robert), sisters Rosie, Antonia, Mary, Jessie and Valentine, and brother Martin. He had 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. There are many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
