Per request of our good friend and PGR member Gregg “Digger” Walker (Walker Family Funeral Services) the  family of Briggs Lee Fryer has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Briggs was born on 26 June 1947 in Evansville, Indiana and entered into Eternal Rest on 27 November 2016.

Briggs joined the U.S. Army proudly serving his country during Vietnam. Briggs’ last duty station was with Battery B, 6th Battalion, 92nd Artillery, 2nd Armored Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Briggs’ commendations and awards included a Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal w/3 Bronze Stars, , National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry w/Palm, and Sharpshooter (Rifle).

After his honorable discharge as a SP4 from the Army, Briggs worked in the furnace repair industry for nearly forty years.

Briggs is survived by his wife Maureen and son Jason. He also leaves behind his sister Sonia and granddaughter Halle.

Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
