The family of Sgt Lerri James Bulatao De Guzman, 35, has invited the PGR to attend funeral services for their Hero, it would be our honor to do so.
Lerri De Guzman enlisted in the US Marine Corps in January, 2001 and served in Iraq in the Global War on Terror until his honorable discharge in January, 2005 at the rank of Sergeant. His leadership in the Marines served him well throughout his life, he was very proud of his service, and the brotherhood of his fellow Marine Warriors meant a lot to him.
After serving in the military, Lerri went back to college and earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at USC. He was the President of the Veterans Club at the University.
He went to work for the Department of Veterans Affairs as a Veterans Advocate, continuing to serve his fellow Veterans in every way he could. Particularly those with PTSD as he also suffered from the effects of combat.
Lerri was known by a couple of nicknames, "The Hulk" and "Muscle Man" were two. He loved eating good food, and loved Football and MMA fighting, and having car projects, his favorite was his '66 Mustang. He was a fitness fiend, he enjoyed shooting guns at the gun range, movies, arcades and he loved to travel. He also loved his family and friends and always had a huge heart to help those in need.
Sadly, his battle with PTSD and the associated issues took him from us. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him, and especially by his family, friends and coworkers at the VA.
Lerri is survived by his loving wife Antoinette "Marietta" De Guzman, his daughter Georgia, brother Willie De Guzman, sisters Juliet and Beverly De Guzman, his parents Feliciano and Alegria De Guzman, and many other relatives.

For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
