Per request of our good friend and PGR member Gregg “Digger” Walker (Walker Family Funeral Services), the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) will be attending the Military Honors of this Hero.

It will be an honor to do so.

Raymond John Cool also known by “John” was born in Lynwood, and entered Eternal Rest on 03 February 2017 in Riverside.

Riverside Police say that John was intentionally run over by a motorist at the spot where he lived, a corner of the parking lot at the intersection of Van Buren and Jackson Street.

His brother Jim says that John Cool dropped out of society about ten years ago. The family thought that he might be dead, but in 2011, through friends and relatives of a person who brought John Cool lunch every day, Jim learned that he was in Riverside. With the help of a Riverside Police Officer and a twenty-five year old picture, Jim found John on his usual curb.

John was a Sonar Technician (Surface) Seaman (STGSN) in the Navy and later worked for North American Rockwell and Boeing.

His brother Jim said that he couldn’t stay with any job. John had dyslexia, but that he didn’t have any mental illnesses or drug addictions.

John is survived by his brother Jim.
