The wife of Tony West has requested the Patriot Guard Riders join with her and friends in honoring her Hero, we will be honored to do so.
Tony served in Vietnam as a Medic for the US Army during 68 and 69. He was a lifelong Patriot and member of VFW and American Legion Chapter 391 and AVU, an organization involved in helping Veterans get their benefits, in addition to his volunteer work with the PGR as member and Ride Captain.
A lifelong Patriot who continued to serve the Heroes, his brothers and sisters, throughout his life, Tony will be greatly missed by all who knew him, including his PGR family, his ALR family and his VFW family.
He later went into Autobody work and owned several Autobody shops in the L.A. Area. He had been a race car driver in his younger years until he got into a bad accident that finished his competing. He went on to be a race instructor for a time. He was also an avid golfer at one time and had 5 "Holes In One" to brag about. He also loved restoring cars and one of the cars he restored is in a museum.
Tony is survived by his wife Diane, stepson Clark, grandson Owen, and sister Dianne.
Tony's wife Diane has requested a service at his VFW post where we will do a Flag Line as our Hero is carried in, after the service we will accompany a ride around the lake as Tony's trike is ridden by a friend with his urn on board for Tony's last ride.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
