Culinary Specialist 1st Class Richard A. Williford, 43, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
CS1 Williford, a native of Brownfield, Texas served his country for 13 years in the US Navy, time that included deployment to the Gulf of Aden aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock, USS Somerset (LPD-25).
Richard was a member of the Green Knights Motorcycle Club. Sadly, he passed from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident in San Diego.
The family has asked that we accompany this hero from the mortuary in La Mesa to San Diego Airport for his final journey home. Green Knight club members will honor their brother by joining us in our procession.
