The family of
Lieutenant Commander James Celani, 43 has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
James Celani joined the US Navy right out of college. He was a career military aviator who rose to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Although not a SEAL, LCDR Celani was assigned to Headquarters Staff Naval Special Warfare Command, Coronado. The SEAL community embraced him and he, in turn, loved and worked hard for them for over 9 years.
Jim had planned to transition to a civilian position with the command in September. But just 10 weeks shy of his 20th year with the Navy his life was cut short in an unprovoked act of violence.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
Note: The weather is predicted to be very hot. Please stay hydrated and be sure to eat; the body needs both food and drink to tolerate the heat.Time Table for Friday, 23 JUNE 2017:1245 – Stage at Tierra Santa Lutheran Church, 11240 Clarimont Mesa Blvd, San Diego, CA 92124
