Part 2 of a 2 part mission.The family of
Fire Controlman 2nd Class Carlos Sibayan has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Carlos Victor Ganzon Sibayan, 23, was born in Manila, Philippines. After graduating Chaparral High School he wanted to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming a sailor. He joined the United States Navy in 2014 as a Fire Controlman, (Surface Warfare) and was proud to serve aboard the U.S.S. Fitzgerald. At the time of his passing he had attained the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class.
Sadly, this hero was among 7 US sailors killed when the Fitzgerald collided with a container ship off the coast of Japan.
FC2 Sibayan is survived by his father Victor Sibayan, mother Carmen Sibayan and two younger brothers Vince and Mike Sibayan.
The family has asked the PGR to be present at this hero's funeral service. We are honored.
