The family of CDR Kevin G. Harvey, MC, USNR (Ret) has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

CDR Kevin Harvey proudly served our country on active duty in the United States Navy from Jul 20, 1979, to Jun 30, 1982, and again from Oct 7, 1983, to Dec 31, 1995.   Dr. Harvey also served in the inactive reserves for over 4 years. He achieved the rank of Commander in the Medical Corps serving as a Radiologist.

In 1991, CDR Harvey was deployed from his command in Norfolk, VA to the Naval Hospital Guantanamo Bay to assist in setting up a Humanitarian Relief Center. This center cared for more than 16,300 Haitian and Cuban migrants, earning the Naval Hospital and its members the Navy Unit Commendation Medal.

For his service, CDR Harvey was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal and Navy Unit Commendation Medal.

This hero is survived by his wife Deborah.  While they resided in Bakersfield, Kevin wanted to be interred at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego.

If this will be your first mission, go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Please ride/drive safely.
