'Hollywood Salutes Heroes' is a very special Wounded Warriors Event. Sponsored by The Gary Sinise Foundation, the USO, and our good friends at American Airlines, this event will bring our Heroes on a chartered aircraft from Walter Reed Hospital/Rehab in Washington, DC to John Wayne/Orange County Airport (SNA) in SoCal, for a fun-filled trip to Disneyland.
The Patriot Guard Riders will meet the chartered aircraft at John Wayne/Orange County Airport, Santa, Ana, on 03 Feb, and will assist as needed with baggage handling and the boarding onto buses. We will then accompany our Heroes approx. 15mi. to their Hotel in Anaheim. We will stay to assist the hotel employees with baggage handling as needed.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Photographs are welcome, but we have been asked, due to copyright infringements, that they not be published anywhere until after 27 FEB 2014. This means NOT on Facebook or any other social media sites.
These Heroes have spent many months and even years in a hospital receiving medical care for a variety of traumatic injuries. They have made boundless sacrifices for their country, for their countrymen/women, for our freedoms, and for our very way of life. They deserve all the smiles and memories this trip is sure to bring. Please join in welcoming them to our beautiful state! Bring your flags, bring your smiles, but most importantly, help bring joy to these brave Heroes who are most deserving!
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring these Brave Warriors. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying these Heroes from John Wayne/Orange County Airport to their Hotel in Anaheim. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

This mission involves an aircraft arrival. Arrival times can change at the last minute so please check this thread for any last minute changes
before leaving. You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
