The family of Amado Fontanillo Tamayo has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Amado Tamayo, 86, proudly served his country for 16 years in the United States Navy.  He received 5 Good Conduct Medals and 2 National Defense Medals for his service.  His last duty assignment was on the guided missile destroyer USS Charles F Adams.   At the time of his honorable discharge, he had attained the rank of MS1 - Mess Attendant Specialist Petty Officer First Class.

The family has requested an accompaniment from Good Shepard Catholic Church to Miramar National Cemetery a distance of approximately 5 miles.  It will be our honor to do so.

Note: This notice is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.  For those interested, and all are welcome, please see the time table below. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission.  Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
