The family of Larry Nohavec, has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to pay Honors on their Hero's final journey home. It will be our honor to do so.
Larry was 76 years old at the time of his death. He was born January 5, 1942, and passed on March 15, 2018.
Larry served in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965, the last two years in the reserves. He was assigned to the destroyer USS Hooper as a Water Transfer Engineer (Fireman). He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal.
Larry loved working with tools. He loved the outdoors, camping, boating and fishing. He built a cabin from the ground up, and he was a fabulous cook. He was always trying new recipes. Larry loved get-togethers and entertaining.
He was also an active member of the Corona Elks.
Larry is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joyce, sisters Helen and Jeanne, children Christine, Denise, Lori, David, and Brandi. In addition he had 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
