The family and friends of Donald Montgomery, United States Army, have invited the Patriot Guard to honor their loved one on his final Journey.  We are honored to attend.

Donald was born in April 22, 1949 and passed April 5, 2018.

Donald’s military service was from 1965 thru 1978. Donald served in Vietnam and attained the rank of Sargent E-5 at the end of his military service. He accumulated many Military achievement awards during his service but rarely spoke about his accomplishments. He was a “Multi Chain Com Equipment Operator”. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Sharpshooter Medal, Good Conduct Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Vietnam Cross of Gallantry.

After his military service, he worked in the Telecommunication and Network field. Donald was also very active with the local American Legion Post 328 in Norco. Due to Donald’s proximity in Norco, the family is expecting a “large” turnout.

Donald leaves behind his spouse Anny and siblings Bobby and Kenneth, and children Robert, Angela, Mary Abea, Mark, Karen Killian and Alexandria Morel. Donald has 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

This mission will be an accompany from Norco Family Funeral Home to Riverside National Cemetery (RNC). Due to Donald’s involvement with the ALR, the family expects this to be a large procession.
