The wife of PV2 Patrick Craghead has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend his interment service and honor him, we are privileged to do so.

PV2 Craghead enlisted in the U.S. Army in Jan, 2005 and was a member of the honored ranks of the 82nd Airborne Division 1/325, a storied battalion of some of our best and bravest warriors.  He served in Operation Enduring Freedom and was a Grenadier, carrying a grenade launcher in battle.  Some of his awards were National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Parachutist Badge, CIB.

Patrick was an avid surfer, skateboarder, snowboarder, skydiver, and rock climber.  Pretty much anything that involved risk and an adrenaline rush.  He loved riding his motorcycle, a Ducati, and dirt bikes, off roading in his truck, fishing including fly fishing, back packing, mountaineering and prospecting.  He was a musician, paying both guitar and keyboards, music was another of his passions.  He loved animals of all kinds, and his family and friends.

Patrick passed away in May of 2012 while on Active Duty, and his family had not made a decision at the time as to what they wanted to do to honor him.  They have now decided to arrange for interment and military honors at Ft. Rosecrans and we will be honored to be there.

Patrick is survived by his wife Michelle, daughter Rylee 5 years old, stepsons Spencer and Brian-Alex, mother Belinda, father Shelby, and other brother Philip.
